Story
I’m stepping out to tackle the Walk My Way challenge and to provide practical support for a refugee family settling in Australia.
In just a few months, the St John’s Unley community will be providing practical hands-on support to a refugee family arriving in Australia through the Federal Government’s community refugee settlement pilot (CRISP).
On Saturday 26 July 2025 I’ll be stepping out at St John’s Walk My Way to raise funds to support this care effort for a family who is fleeing persecution or danger and seeking to start a new life in Australia.
The funds we raise will be used to provide for the immediate needs for the refugee family upon arrival, including:
• Short-term housing
• Homeware and furniture
• English classes
• School supplies
• Groceries and medicines
